Healthy Mock Dorito Seasoning

When your junk food eating friends admit that a healthy version you make is comparable and tasty, you take extra note. Here is our favorite mock dorito seasoning and right in time for cozy snack settings, holiday parties and fall games! It's great on eggs, perfect for popcorn and suburb on non GMO chips of your choice!

Mock Dorito Seasoning

1/2 cup nutritional yeast

2 tsp garlic powder (not garlic salt)

2 tsp onion powder

2 tsp cumin

2 tsp paprika

2 tsp chili powder

1/4-1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper (optional but oh, so healthy!)

4 tsp sea salt or pink himalyan salt

Mix all ingredients well and store in a glass jar or container with a salt shaker like top.

GOOD FATS help balance hormones, are good for brain health, hydrate your body and can actually help you lose weight!

So my moto is: BUTTER makes it BETTER! Gently melt it and add it to your popcorn! Cook your eggs with it! Coconut oil is a super healthy choice too. If you want to avoid the coconut flavor on your mock Dorito's, try using refined organic coconut oil instead of unrefined.

For a twist on flavor and added anti inflammatory benefits try:

1 tsp turmeric

1/8-1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

BONUS: Many of these herbs boast immune boosting properties. We have also been reading a lot about ulcers. Studies show that herbs that increase circulation to the stomach area like cayenne and cinnamon can help ulcers heal faster. Cayenne has also been known to help ulcers to slow down/stop bleeding.
