Golden Coffee

So you may have heard of Golden Milk but have you tried Golden Coffee? Here are some reasons why you might want to do so.

Coconut oil and/or butter are GOOD fats your body needs for brain health, hormone health and even losing weight! Some experts say that good fats in your coffee helps you avoid the crash that can come with caffeine.

Turmeric is in the news a lot lately and for good reason. It has a powerhouse constituent called curcumin. Curcumin has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. While inflammation can help the body heal, many health experts believe that a majority of diseases and illnesses in the body are due to too much inflammation. Inflammation is a culprit behind chronic pain and poor gut health (leading to poor nutrient absorption.) Curcumin is not easy for the body to absorb alone. Just a twist of black pepper (also included in this recipe) increases the body's ability to absorb curcumin by 2000%. PS Curcumin is also a fat soluble constituent and the fats we mentioned above also compliment it's ability to be used by the body! Don't you love SYNERGY!

Cayenne Pepper is something we have talked having on had for all kinds of emergencies but many health conscious people keep it on hand in a salt shaker to use daily in all kinds of food dishes. It is known to improve circulation, heart health, support the immune system, help with weight loss and is also high in antioxidants. One important antioxidant is beta carotene, a carotenoid that is converted to vitamin A in the body. (Does anyone recall the importance of vitamin A to combat viruses? It is one reason that cayenne boasts to help fight against colds!) Another way cayenne compliments the other components in this recipe is that it is known to help intensify the beneficial effects of other herbs by ensuring speedy and thorough distribution of the herb’s active components throughout the body. Wow.

Let's not leave out ginger and cinnamon. These two herbs also have powerful anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Entire books have been dedicated to ginger's abilty to support the lymphatic system, reduce pain and improve the digestive system. Cinnamon has been known to help regulate blood sugar, reduce blood pressure and improve digestion. It is a strong antiviral.

Collagen gives this recipe a smooth creamy feel when you blend it and it is a sneaky way to get it into your diet when you are not downing bone broth. There is a common thread here you are about to see...it helps support a healthy digestive system! It may also help improve skin and hair health, may prevent bone loss and improve muscle mass.

Now we don't recommend putting all of this goodness into just any coffee. Mold and chemicals contribute to inflammation and toxins in the body. It makes sense that mold free, chemical free coffee is supportive of your overall goals towards health than just any moldy brew . Freshly roasted coffee delivers flavor and preserves the health benefits that you read so much about... antioxidants for one. For many, healthy coffee has contributed to improving mood, reducing blood sugar issues and more. As a bonus, you find a lot of weight loss supplements contain coffee because it is so helpful in losing weight!

This cup of coffee is getting to be worth it's weigh in gold... so you see...the golden color of turmeric and the priceless health benefits collide right here to give you a lot of punch in one cup. As part of a whole foods protocol you could do a lot daily to improve your health a little bit at a time.
